It is a smart ear-wax removal device featuring a high-definition camera (often 1080p) plus LED lights, that connects (via WiFi or cable) to a smartphone/tablet so you can see inside your ear canal while gently removing earwax.

The device is designed to improve safety by letting you visually monitor the process. However, it still involves inserting something into the ear canal, so you should use it very carefully, follow the manual, and stop if any pain or discomfort occurs. The manufacturer manual emphasises “stop using if discomfort/pain” and use visual feedback.If a child is using it, adult supervision is strongly recommended.

• After each use, remove and clean the tip / silicone cover.
  
• Wipe the main body with a dry (or slightly damp) cloth; do not submerge the unit unless it’s rated for full waterproof.
  
• Replace worn tips, store in a clean, dry place.
  

You can, but with caution: children’s ear canals are smaller and more delicate. An adult should supervise and preferably hold the child still. Use only the smallest tip and move very slowly. If unsure, consult a paediatrician or ENT specialist.

Because you can visually monitor removal, it can be more effective and safer than blindly using cotton swabs (which often push wax deeper). For example, one product page says “No more blindly poking around in the dark” using camera view.

However, it is not a substitute for professional ear care when there are significant earwax blockages or medical issues.
